Triple jump spikes are sturdier compared to long jump spikes due to the unique nature of triple jump.
The thickness of the artificial leather at the tip of the spike is noticeably thicker than that of short-distance spikes, making it much sturdier.
Reinforcement tape is an essential part that plays a crucial role in triple jump, which is said to put several times more strain on the feet than short-distance events.

Features

Reliable MIZUNO quality upper

The general structure of laces plus a belt is the same as the company's Field Geo LJ.
The materials are synthetic fibers (mesh part) and artificial leather (enamel part).

Feature ① The thinness of the tongue (the part covering the instep at the center of the upper) and laces
Feature ② Reinforcement tape attached to the mesh fabric at the top of the toe
The tongue and laces are overwhelmingly thinner compared to other companies' long jump spikes, similar in thinness to Mizuno's representative model, Chrono Inks. This thinness allows the foot and laces to be tied as closely as possible, preventing shoe slippage and creating a sense of fit.
Next, the essential reinforcement tape for the triple jump, which places a very large load on the athlete. It reduces lateral swaying during the hop and step, minimizing loss of power.

Wide design that fits Japanese feet

As expected from a Japanese manufacturer like MIZUNO, it is made to the perfect size for Japanese feet.
Both the toe and heel sections are relatively wide. However, it does not give the impression of being excessively wide; rather, it is made to fit the foot just right, which is impressive.
Additionally, like the Field Geo LJ, the heel is made to feel solid. Perhaps because the toe side uses mesh fabric, the heel part made only of artificial leather feels robust. Furthermore, not only in contrast to the mesh fabric, this heel part is the only section in the entire upper, excluding the belt, where artificial leather is sewn in multiple layers.

Sole that creates a reassuring sense of stability

The sole is different from the Field Geo LJ.
The triple jump is one of the events that places a load on the foot, and since the impact is greater than in the long jump, the amount of rebound agent is increased, resulting in a thicker sole.
Also, regarding the position of the rebound agent. If you compare the Field Geo LJ and AJ side by side, you will see that the part containing the rebound agent (the yellow part) is located in the forefoot for the LJ, while in the Field Geo AJ for triple jump, it is heavily present in the heel. The presence of the rebound agent in the heel allows for rebound to be received across the entire foot during flat landing, making hopping and stepping easier.
Like the ADIDAS Adizero TJ/PV, the heel part has a rubber anti-slip feature, allowing for smooth and non-slip execution of the three jumps: hop, step, and jump.

Flat sole that is easy to take off

Regarding the curvature of the sole, it is flatter compared to other companies' triple jump spikes such as the Triple Jump PRO (ASICS), Adizero TJ (ADIDAS), and Triple Jump Elite (NIKE).
However, the convex surface of the forefoot is more compactly inflated than other companies' triple jump spikes, and when actually worn and jumped, the sensation of rolling as an assist for takeoff is significantly felt.
