The upper has been reinforced for durability compared to the previous model.
The adaptation from the previous model's 100m and 200m to 100m to 400m has been changed since 2020. Continuing with the flat plate concept, the outer sole design has been changed to capture the track across the entire plate. From this model, two new technologies, "HL-0 MESH" and "DYNAWRAP," have been introduced. HL-0 MESH is a flexible material that provides a fit that wraps around the foot. Additionally, DYNAWRAP supports from both inside and outside the shoe like Mizuno Chrono Inks, providing a secure hold. The belt tightens in conjunction with the lacing to suppress movement, resulting in a top-notch integration between the foot and the spike.

A perfectly fitting upper that adjusts during competition
Due to the adoption of "HL-0 MESH" and "DYNAWRAP," the fit is very high, but since the material is a bit stiff, those with wider feet may find the toe area a bit cramped. If your foot width is relatively wide and you have experienced tightness, you may need to wear them several times in competitions to break them in. The heel part is firmly held, resulting in no movement within the spike. The high hold of the heel also means that compared to other Asics spikes, there is relatively less slippage, allowing you to run without worrying about foot movement inside the spike.

A configuration with fewer pins than the previous model for a one-point breakthrough
The pins are fixed 5mm pins in a 1-2-1 (outer) configuration from the toe. The change from the previous model is that the pins have been reduced from 6 interchangeable to 4 fixed. In short, the Jet Sprint 2 is a plate that minimizes the contact area. To minimize friction and braking, it has a honeycomb structure with short and few pins, keeping the contact area as small as possible. As a result, athletes who prefer grip may find it lacking. It closely resembles the company's Sonic Sprint Elite 2, but uses thinner pins with less friction. On the other hand, due to the lack of support features that assist with center of gravity movement and stability upon landing, it becomes difficult for beginners and intermediate users to handle.

Ultra-flat. A sole that has changed short-distance spikes
The sole is almost flat with no curvature, allowing you to gain rebound by dropping your legs straight down. However, for middle and high school students, there is a risk of injury as differences in muscle strength and technique for receiving rebound during landing are required, so caution is necessary.
