Jet Sprint 2 Evaluation Review

¥25,300(including tax)
  • Hard high-rebound plate
It has an explosive rebound force that feels like being bounced back the moment you make contact with the ground.
  • Honeycomb-shaped textured plate that minimizes the contact area
It is designed with a textured structure to minimize the contact area with the ground.
  • "DYNAWRAP" support creates an impressive sense of hold
The DYNAWRAP holds the foot by providing support from both inside and outside the shoe.
  • Flat plate structure adopting a flat concept
The sole has been designed with almost no incline to minimize the contact time with the ground.

Recommended for such people
-High school and junior high school students - Short distance (100m to 400m)
-Males aiming for 10 seconds in 100m
-Females aiming for the low 12 seconds in 100m
-Males aiming for the low 48 seconds in 400m
-Females aiming for the low 56 seconds in 400m
This is recommended for advanced model all-weather spikes.
While the times are just a guideline, I believe this spike is the right choice if you aim for these times.
There aren't many athletes in junior high and high school wearing the Jet Sprint 2, but it is recommended for those who have the strength and landing technique to withstand strong rebounds and want more rebound and speed.
For those wanting to use the same spike model, Mizuno's Chrono Inks or those who want to land on the forefoot should also consider the Sonic Sprint Elite 2 and Meta Sprint.

Features

The upper has been reinforced for durability compared to the previous model.

The adaptation from the previous model's 100m and 200m to 100m to 400m has been changed since 2020.
Continuing with the flat plate concept, the outer sole design has been changed to capture the track across the entire plate.
From this model, two new technologies, "HL-0 MESH" and "DYNAWRAP," have been introduced.
HL-0 MESH is a flexible material that provides a fit that wraps around the foot.
Additionally, DYNAWRAP supports from both inside and outside the shoe like Mizuno Chrono Inks, providing a secure hold. The belt tightens in conjunction with the lacing to suppress movement, resulting in a top-notch integration between the foot and the spike.

A perfectly fitting upper that adjusts during competition

Due to the adoption of "HL-0 MESH" and "DYNAWRAP," the fit is very high, but since the material is a bit stiff, those with wider feet may find the toe area a bit cramped.
If your foot width is relatively wide and you have experienced tightness, you may need to wear them several times in competitions to break them in.

The heel part is firmly held, resulting in no movement within the spike. The high hold of the heel also means that compared to other Asics spikes, there is relatively less slippage, allowing you to run without worrying about foot movement inside the spike.

A configuration with fewer pins than the previous model for a one-point breakthrough

The pins are fixed 5mm pins in a 1-2-1 (outer) configuration from the toe.
The change from the previous model is that the pins have been reduced from 6 interchangeable to 4 fixed.
In short, the Jet Sprint 2 is a plate that minimizes the contact area.
To minimize friction and braking, it has a honeycomb structure with short and few pins, keeping the contact area as small as possible.
As a result, athletes who prefer grip may find it lacking.
It closely resembles the company's Sonic Sprint Elite 2, but uses thinner pins with less friction.
On the other hand, due to the lack of support features that assist with center of gravity movement and stability upon landing, it becomes difficult for beginners and intermediate users to handle.

Ultra-flat. A sole that has changed short-distance spikes

The sole is almost flat with no curvature, allowing you to gain rebound by dropping your legs straight down.
However, for middle and high school students, there is a risk of injury as differences in muscle strength and technique for receiving rebound during landing are required, so caution is necessary.
