Recommended for such people
-Recommended for "advanced" short distance runners
-For those who want a stiffer plate than the Jet Sprint or Sonic Sprint Elite 2 from ASICS
This spike is recommended for those who can utilize its rebound effectively. By eliminating the "time for pins to dig in" and "time for pins to come out," it allows for running without braking. However, it requires considerable skill and strength to master. It may be worth considering for those who can run with a short ground contact time and can stabilize their ankles while running. Additionally, if the ground contact point shifts slightly, it can lead to slipping, making it difficult to handle for anyone other than advanced users who can achieve stable contact and have the technique to push off with the ball of the foot.

Features

Ultra-lightweight. Uses lightweight materials adopted for long distances

The upper uses HL-0 mesh, which is also used in ASICS mid-distance racing spikes like the COSMORACER MD and Sonic Sprint Elite 2. It has elasticity similar to knit, providing a high level of fit that eliminates movement during running and reduces power loss. Additionally, the midfoot features DYNAWRAP, which supports foot stabilization from the inside, tightening in conjunction with pulling the shoelaces, resulting in a very stable shoe. At 125g per shoe for size 26cm, its lightness is also a notable feature. It rates a 5 for lightness on a 5-point scale, with other brands having lighter short-distance spikes than Metasprint, such as NIKE Zoom Superfly Elite 2, Zoom 400, and Chrono Onyx 2.

Crafted to fit perfectly for Japanese individuals

Like other ASICS products, it has a slim design, but since it is made for Japanese feet, few people will find it difficult to wear based on foot shape. The upper material is elastic, so it is not rigid. The heel part is well-constructed, providing stability. However, the entry point is slightly narrow, and it may be a bit challenging to put on without loosening the laces. The feeling when worn is that it holds the entire foot snugly, giving a good sense of width. The spacing is 0.5cm smaller than your usual shoe size. Additionally, those with high insteps may find it a bit tight.

The Threat of Pinless Short-Distance Spikes

▶ About the Pins
For the first time in history, a pinless spike. Eight honeycomb-structured protrusions are arranged in place of pins. The arrangement of the protrusions is 1-2-2-2-1, with protrusions present in the area before the arch, which is not seen in other spikes. Thanks to ASICS technology, energy loss when the pins are removed is reduced, achieving efficient power transmission, making grip strength a concern of the past even without pins.
▶ About the Hardness
It features a carbon fiber plate, which is about five times lighter and stronger than the common resin materials used in spikes, making it highly responsive. As a guideline, it has a hardness that makes it very difficult to bend by hand.

Not just a flat sole, but a perfectly curved one

The curvature of the sole is rated 3 out of 5, placing it in the middle, resulting in a very well-balanced curve.
In actual wear, the incline is not higher than ADIDAS, but it is a perfectly suitable incline.
It allows for a natural rolling ground contact.
The incline is smaller than that of ADIDAS's sprint spikes, yet higher than NIKE's Zoom Superfly Elite 2, making it a spike with just the right incline.
Designed to match the flat ground contact of athlete Yoshihide Kiryu, it is commonly referred to as a flat sole, which may give a flat image, but in reality, it has a moderate sole with a perfectly suitable incline.
