Features

Stable ground contact with a highly durable upper

The upper material of COSMORACER MD is made from Russell structure fiber, which, while not very elastic, provides a strong hold on the foot. It pairs well with the highly responsive sole, ensuring stability not only in straight lines but also during curves.
Some feedback suggests that after about two years of regular use, the outer upper material may tear, but it will assist in providing stable ground contact until then.
Additionally, the material of the laces is elastic, allowing those who want a tight fit to feel a hold that conforms to the shape of their foot.

Generous and wide size fit

The overall construction of the upper is quite wide from heel to toe, making it suitable for those with wide feet. Additionally, there is a firm supporter at the heel, providing excellent stability during ground contact by minimizing movement in all directions.
However, while the upper offers high stability, it is slightly heavier at 145g compared to other manufacturers' middle to long-distance spikes. Mizuno's Chrono Dist 7 weighs 135g, and New Balance's MD800 weighs 126g. The new model COSMORACER MD 2 weighs 128g, making it lighter, so if you are unsure about which to purchase, I recommend COSMORACER MD for price and COSMORACER MD 2 for performance.

Well-balanced sole design

◆About the pins
The number of pins is 5, which is fewer compared to other manufacturers' middle-distance spikes. (Reference: NIKE Mamba V, MIZUNO Geo Splash 7: 6 pins)
There are 3 pins in the front and 2 in the back, spaced slightly apart. This allows for flat ground contact at the forefoot.

◆About the sole
It uses a plate with strong rebound among middle-distance spikes, covered by a single plate from toe to heel. Generally, middle-distance spike plates enhance flexibility to reduce fatigue, so this can be considered a middle-distance spike focused on sprints.
In terms of rebound, it ranks among the top for middle-distance spikes, second only to Adizero MD.

Accommodates slightly forward center of gravity to flat ground type

Regarding the slope of the sole, it tends to be slightly steeper from the middle compared to other spikes.
It has a balanced slope suitable for both flat ground contact and toe contact, but it leans slightly towards a forward center of gravity.
Honestly, for women, using it for short-distance events is also not an issue.
