-For those who are unsure whether to choose a wide or standard width

Honestly, there aren't many people I would recommend this to.
This is because this spike is extremely heavy, so those who have just started long jump will have to bear the handicap of weight without any technique.
On the other hand, the higher models have their quirks, but they do not have the handicap of weight and come equipped with supportive functions.
If you are not struggling with your event, please consider the higher-end specialized spikes.

Features

Correct upper configuration for an introductory model

The upper features both laces and a strap, typical of jumping spikes.
The laces themselves are slightly thicker than those of the higher model Long Jump PRO, designed with durability in mind.
The majority of the upper is made of mesh fabric, providing high breathability. However, for beginner long jumpers, the thickness of this mesh and the shoe tongue may allow sand to frequently enter, which could be somewhat bothersome.
It is also compatible with triple jump, and the reinforcements are robustly done. The toe and heel areas are reinforced with a fine enamel-like synthetic leather, similar to that used for throwing shoes.
The strap is located at the forefoot, providing a firm hold on the toes. This improves the flapping of the toes during the approach run.

Designed to be wider for easier wear by Japanese people

Both the toe and heel areas are relatively wide, making them easy to wear for wider-footed Japanese individuals.
Compared to the higher models, Long Jump PRO and Zoom LJ4/NIKE, it has a more spacious design.
However, compared to a similar higher model, Field Geo LJ-B/MIZUNO, the Tiger Paw Japan TB feels slightly narrower.
One disappointing point is that this wide structure, along with the aforementioned strap and lace configuration, and robust reinforcements, results in a significantly heavy weight.

Thick sole suitable for triple jump

In jumping events, the impact with the ground during landing and takeoff is greater compared to track events, and for beginners, this large impact must be cushioned with thick padding to avoid compressing the lower back and losing power.
To address this, the sole is thickened to provide shock absorption similar to that of spikes designed for triple jump.
Additionally, the heel area of the Tiger Paw Japan TB features a rubber anti-slip material.
There are eight pins, while Long Jump PRO/ASICS and Field Geo LJ-B/MIZUNO have nine, and Zoom LJ4/NIKE and Adizero LJ/ADIDAS have seven, providing standard grip strength.

A sole that is curved for easy approach and soft enough to prevent injury

The sole is quite curved. However, since the plate is softer compared to other higher models, it bends when running or taking off, and you may not feel the expected assistance from the sole's curvature while running.
Moreover, while it significantly outperforms Field Geo LJ-B/MIZUNO and Zoom LJ4/NIKE in terms of curvature, the Tiger Paw Japan TB feels inferior when considering ease of approach.
This is due to the aforementioned curvature collapsing, resulting in a loss of curvature during actual use.
