A collection of the latest ASICS technologies
The upper is secured with shoelaces. From this year, two new technologies, "HL-0 MESH" and "DYNAWRAP," are used in the upper material. HL-0 MESH is an elastic material that provides a fit that wraps around the foot. Additionally, the DYNAWRAP, which supports from both inside and outside the shoe like MIZUNO Chrono Inks, holds the foot securely. The belt tightens in conjunction with the lacing to suppress any wobbling, creating a top-notch sense of unity between the foot and the spikes. However, as will be mentioned later, the construction of the plate is more suited for advanced users, so caution is needed during actual use.

Japanese-made spikes leaning towards overseas spikes
The material is slightly stiff, so those with wider feet may find the toe area a bit cramped. Additionally, since the plate has a slim shape, athletes with wider feet may feel a bit of tightness. Therefore, if you have experienced tightness in spikes due to wide feet, it is recommended to choose spikes with more width, such as those from Mizuno. Moreover, the heel part has a shape that holds firmly, making it almost zero movement, so you will hardly feel any shifting while running.

Four pins focused on ground contact
The pins are four replaceable ones arranged in a 1-2-1 (outer) configuration from the toe. In short, the Sonic Sprint Elite 2 is a plate that minimizes the contact area. To minimize friction and braking, it has a honeycomb textured structure that reduces the number of pins and the contact area as much as possible. Although it closely resembles the company's Jet Sprint 2, the replaceable nature provides better grip and a longer usable period. On the other hand, due to fewer support features for weight transfer and stability during landing, it can be difficult for beginners and intermediate users to handle.

The sole from the previous model has been remade in a modern style
Previous models had a strong slope in the sole, making them spikes that were selective of the athletes who wore them, but this time the shape of the sole has changed to a flat shape. Therefore, if you are an athlete who runs with flat ground contact, these spikes are highly recommended. The rebound is relatively strong compared to other ASICS beginner and intermediate spikes. However, within that strength, there is a softness, and situations where handling is difficult and requires skill for landing are few. Thus, they are recommended for those trying advanced spikes for the first time. If you prefer spikes with very hard plates, you may find these spikes a bit soft and unsatisfactory.
